Disabled Discount Pass to State Parks
This discount pass entitles certifiably disabled persons to a 50% discount for use of all basic facilities at any unit of the California State Park System. Cost of the pass is $3.00 and you must submit an application. This can be obtained by writing to the Department of Parks and Recreation, Disabled Discount Pass, PO Box 942896, Sacramento, CA 94296-0001 or ask for an application at the entrance to any state park.
Gas Stations
California law requires that gas stations that have an attendent are required to pump gas at the self serve price for people displaying either a disabled placard or license plate. However, if there is only a cashier at the station then they are not required to comply with this law.
General Weather
The best months to visit Northern California are in the fall and spring. The fall months typically bring Indian Summer weather with clear warm days and the spring months bring an abundance of wild flowers and temperate conditions. Summer months in the coastal region can be cool and the fog can linger all day. December through March is the season for rain in the lower elevations and snow in the mountains.

Call the above number and they will contact your party and relay your conversation. 800 854-7784 Speech to Speech Service enables a person with a speech disability to use the Relay Service using their own voice or voice synthesizer to call another person. This service is free except if there is a charge for the call.

Service is not included in restaurant checks. The average tip is 15% of the check.
